The Train Ride and Beaufort Town

Our expedition started as we left our accomodations at Kota Kinabalu in the early morning and rode for an hour and a half in an early 90's toyota van, which surely had the shocks completely removed. Then we reached Beaufort, the train town. From their we headed to the river rafting via antique toy train as you can see below. It is the train used by the natives to get between the city and home, so many stops are made, even where there is no stop. The train ride was best from the open platform seen below, where you can relax with the malay wind flowing by and get a view of the lush green mountains and beautiful brownish-yellow Padas river.
